Day 1: Startup Tours (11/13)
Â
Go behind the scenes at startups of all sizes and industries. A list of companies that past trips have visited is below.
Â
You'll sit down with team members ranging from founders (wherever possible) to CTOs and VPs of Engineering, devs at all levels, recruiters, product managers, and more to discuss their day-to-day roles, the real-world problems they're solving, and the products and services they're building.
Â
You'll also get a better sense of what these companies look for in interns and employees, what roles they're hiring for, and have time to ask questions.
Â
Key Takeaways:
* You'll gain exposure to companies, cultures, and professional opportunities (internships, co-ops, jobs, networking) that you may not previously have been aware of, or usually wouldn't have direct access to.
* You'll gain more detailed insight into the startup space and companies within it than is possible through on-campus informational sessions.

Â
Throughout the day, you'll have opportunities to meet and learn from 80 of the region's most innovative companies like IBM Watson, BuzzFeed, Spotify, AppNexus, OnDeck, Oscar, Birchbox, Gilt, and many, many more (80+ in total).
Â
Classes will be taught by the companies themselves (Adobe, Shutterstock, Dataminr, Chartbeat, and others), and past interactions have included karaoke, bacon-grilling, puppy runs, skate ramps, and dunk tanks, all highlighting each company's culture.
Â
You'll register to attend through this site, but you can learn more @ nyc.uncubed.com and through the recap video below:
